Q. Is infrared safe?
A. Infrared energy is part of the range of electromagnetic rays that are absolutely necessary for metabolism and growth of human beings and is also part of the natural light spectrum of sunlight minus the skin damaging UV, which is why NASA spacecraft have utilized this heat.   It is also vibrational energy, with which the human body resonates.   This is the reason that it can penetrate through the skin. INFRARED HEAT IS SO SAFE; IT IS USED TO WARM PREMATURE BABIES.

Q. Will I get a tan from using the CelluBike ?
A. No, the CelluBike uses Infrared energy not Ultra Violet (UV) Rays.

Q. What precisely is cellulite?
A. Cellulite is the term used to describe pockets of trapped fat that cause uneven and dimpling skin.  It appears most often in post-adolescent women, it is rarely seen in men.  This is due to how muscle, fat, and connective tissue are distributed within the female and male bodies.  Cellulite is most commonly found on the thighs, buttocks, hips, and abdomen.  Studies have shown that hormones, age, and lifestyle all play a significant role in the appearance of cellulite.

Q. What causes cellulite?
A. Beneath the epidermis and dermis are three layers; muscle, reserve fat, and subcutaneous fat.  Cellulite forms in the subcutaneous fat layer, which is trapped between the dermis and the reserve fat.

This subcutaneous layer is structurally different because its fat lobes are squeezed by the surrounding strands of tissue and are then organized into chambers.  Eventually, the connective tissue begins to break down and allows the fat chambers to move into the dermis which creates the cottage cheese effect that so many people dislike.

There are a variety of reasons why some people are more prone to cellulite than others.  Genetics, environmental conditions, and lifestyle are all believed to play a part in the appearance of cellulite.  But the bottom line is that 90% of all women over 20 years old will develop the dreaded dimples. 

Q. What is the CelluBike Program?
A. Unlike invasive liposuction or over-the-counter anti-cellulite treatments, the Cellubike engages the bodies own force to actually eliminate, not disguise or forcibly remove cellulite from the body.   While peddling the recumbent bicycle at 70% of your maximum heart rate, the Certified Technician will then position the array of infrared lights onto the problem areas.   The length of the infrared (in microns) will vary with each session, based on your personally formulated program, and the intensity of the cardio activity will be appropriate to your fitness level.

Infrared energy or thermal energy, without which life could not exist on this planet, penetrates the surface of the skin up to 1-1/2" and warms and softens the hardened cellulite. The infrared opens up the capillaries and blood vessels and allows for a better blood flow into the cellulite.   Then, very simply, the increased cardio activity of the bloodstream combined with the accelerated metabolic processes of vital organs and endocrine glands flushes the cellulite away through the digestive system and through the elimination system.   You will see these residues leaving your system through the sweat glands as well as your excretion system within several hours after a session.   As you can see from the below chart, this is very different from UV rays, which are harmful.

In addition to aiding in flushing cellulite from the body, infrared helps in ridding toxins from the body that are stored in the fatty tissue.  


Q. What kind of results can I expect from the Program ?
A. The results will vary between individuals and their various life styles.   However, in Europe the average has been 5 ½ to 7 ½ inches over the 15 sessions

In order to get the most benefit from your Cellubike program, here are a few steps you can take.  While not necessities, these items are believed to aid in the reduction of cellulite.

1. Reduce your carbonated drink intake
2. Get regular exercise3. Avoid alcohol and smoking
4. Drink an adequate amount of water (it takes 22 oz. of water to metabolize 1 oz. of fat)
5. Eat sensibly, preferably whole, fresh foods; avoid processed, fast foods, fats and sugar
6. We recommend drinking 1 oz. of water per minute during the sessions.
    We also recommend drinking another 30 oz. of water during the first 2 hours after the session.
7. Be sure to take adequate nutritional supplementation

The above steps will help to improve the overall health of the human body, which in turn tends to make the program more effective and the results last longer.

Ignoring the factors that created the situation in the first place will not make them go away.   We recommend 15 sessions and eating a sensible diet.

Q. How long are the sessions?
A. Each Session is 40 minutes long and we strongly recommend 15 sessions to enjoy the full benefits of the program.

Q. Do I have to continue to use the CelluBike to maintain the loss of cellulite?
A. We recommend that you use the CelluBike once or twice per month to maintain the look that you have achieved.

Q. Are there people that should not use the CelluBike?
A. To use the CelluBike you need to be in general good health, you should not use the bike if you are:

1. Pregnant
2. Menstruating
3. Have any heart problems
4. Have a pacemaker or other stimulators
5. Have lessened pain sensibility due to other treatments
6. Have artificial limbs
7. Have increased cartilage
8. Have shortness of breath

Q. How often can I use the CelluBike ?
A. We recommend that you use it twice a week or every other day for best results. Many women see noticeable improvements after the first 5-6 sessions.
